Hampton Roads Child Abuse & Prevention
Good Morning!
There are many resources that can teach us how to protect our children in Hampton Roads. Our biggest concern is the cowardly predators that prey on our children and the abductions they commit. There are other concerns however, including home and school violence, neglect, abuse, run-a-ways and lost children.
The links on this page will hopefully provide the resources you need to help protect our children. Please, whatever the situation is, contact your local authorities or even the media if you are aware of any crimes against children or any other crime for that matter. The Planning Council listed on this website provides an extensive list of resources to help Hampton Roads families and to prevent child abuse.

Abductions
After dialing 911 and following police instructions, make sure you contact as many people as possible including the local Hampton Roads TV and radio. Enlist the help of family and friends to organize a search and to assist you in making flyers of your child. Canvas neighbors, they may have additional information to provide to police if the kidnapping occurred in your neighborhood or canvas any surrounding stores or businesses. |
